Enterprise Challenge Fund




POMCCI provides the country office in Papua New Guinea for the Australian Government's Enterprise Challenge Fund (ECF)

Laikim Laip - Asia Foundation Programme



Through a unique relationship between the Asia Foundation, the Ginigoada Foundation and the Port Moresby Chamber of Commerce & Industry, and with the encouragement and support of Dame Carol Kidu (Minister for Community Development) 'Laikim Laip' has launched 2 mobile community support programs in the City of Port Moresby, PNG.

The 'Laikim Laip' programs target those in the community that would benefit the most, with the programs travelling into various settlements and areas within the City that some other programs may otherwise detour around. Read More

Ginigoada Bisnis Development Foundation



In 2001 Dame Carol Kidu brought together a group of interested people to start the Ginigoada Bisnis Development Foundation, to raise funding to bring direct practical help to the unemployed young men & women in the community.

Dame Carol Kidu is the Patron of the Foundation and has worked with Ginigoada to ensure it has remained true in purpose and supportive of Government Policy.

Since 2002 the Ginigoada Foundation has been placing young man & women into short term skills development training.

These young men & women are drawn from all part of the City of Port Moresby, with particular focus on those who are disadvantaged or otherwise unable to cover their own cost of such training.

Yumi Rausin Malaria



Malaria remains one of the largest burdens of disease in PNG. It affects men, women, pregnant women and children every day, causing lost days at work and school, premature deaths, and loss of economic productivity for the country.

In 1957 Papua New Guinea (PNG) joined the Global Malaria Eradication Programme (MEP). The major strategy at the time consisted of indoor residual spraying of houses throughout most parts of the country except for the highlands region where there was no malaria and mass drug administration (MDA) using Chlroquine. It was the single biggest vertical programme within the National Department of Health (NDoH) and was managed through four regional malaria control units.

The Pacific Islands Private Sector Organization (PIPSO) originally identified a need to assist the private sector throughout the Pacific Islands as a way of strengthening the economies of the region.
The expected overall outcome of the programme is to create wealth and employment, to increase business efficiency and capability, and to contribute to growth in the economies o the countries participating in the programme.
